Halloween Hacks: Arm Candy Trick-or-Treat Bag

Posted on October 2, 2014 by Erin Erickson | 10 Comments

I am SO EXCITED for Halloween this year. Halloween hasn’t always been big in Australia, but they seem to be importing American traditions recently. Last year we headed out to our friends’ house in the suburbs to hand out candy, and the boys decided to interpret TRICK-OR-TREAT in their own way and shot silly string all the newbie Trick-or-Treaters. :P I…

Introducing… Arm Candy!

Posted on September 3, 2014 by Erin Erickson | 10 Comments

I know I’ve been teasing you for weeks on Instagram and Facebook, but I just had to get it right. I can finally, confidently, present Arm Candy. (Thank you Mindy for the name! Bob wanted to call it The Quickie. We are NOT calling it The Quickie!)  When I started Date Night, I knew we’d actually need two “date night” purses…

Introducing… DATE NIGHT!

Posted on July 4, 2014 by Erin Erickson | 16 Comments

It’s finally here!! And when I say finally, I don’t just mean the last 8 weeks that I’ve been prototyping and writing and taking 3000 photos. I’ve been attempting this top zipper technique for years. I knew *how* to do it, in theory, that was the easy part. Finding the best way to explain it, as well as getting the pattern pieces…

I’ve been teasing you all for weeks, so I am super excited to officially introduce you to my new pattern, Get Carded!   As usual, this one has a fun little story behind the name. As I was trying to come up with a new design, I asked on the Facebook page what features you wanted. Zipper coin pouch, wrist…

Introducing the Daytripper!

Posted on December 4, 2012 by Erin Erickson | 11 Comments

Introducing the Daytripper! I know some of you (at least one of you, anyway) were actively refreshing the pattern page waiting for this! This is literally the end of a pattern writing marathon. You’ve all been endlessly supportive and the fact that you’ve known this pattern by name before it was even available is truly amazing to me. So, here is…

Daytripper and a TARDIS

Posted on October 31, 2012 by Erin Erickson | 38 Comments

I got this done at the last minute before my trip – it still has some kinks to work out before I can start writing the pattern. The interfacing/batting combo I picked looks great but was difficult to sew through, even for me. So that needs to be fixed. Then it needs some minor tweaking to the pockets and has…

Tiny zippered pouch

Posted on June 21, 2012 by Erin Erickson | 17 Comments

I made this little pouch for my mom using the same technique as this one, except it’s tiny so I quilted it with super thin batting instead of using the thick two-sided fusible. It’s about 4.5″ x 3.5″. The fabric is Michael Miller TaDot, which worked out perfectly since I used the dots as a quilting guide! She’s using it for…
