Cascade Blog Tour – Date Night + Fat Quarter Giveaway

Cascade Date Night

Cascade Date Night

A few weeks before I switched countries temporarily, Jessica Levitt posted on Instagram that she needed samples for Quilt Market made with her super secret new fabric line for Windham Fabrics. Jessica’s color schemes tend to be some of my favorites, so I jumped at the chance to sew this before I left! You will find all of the projects in the Cascade Look Book.

I got to choose from the whole line, and I was thrilled when my first choice showed up in my mailbox. :) (I know, you’re thinking of course I picked the blue one!)

Since these are colors I wear all the time, it NEEDED to be a Date Night. I fussy cut the whole bag, which was quite the challenge considering each of those flowers is a little bit different. I think it was worth it. :)

Date NightBob picked the gorgeous gray zipper. I couldn’t decide between light and dark gray. Totally the right choice!

The fabric is gorgeous. I pre-wash all of my quilting cottons before I sew, and you never quite know how they are going to wash up. These were amazing, both the print and the matching solid lining (LOVE when solids match!)

Did I mention that it gets to go to QUILT MARKET? Even though I can’t go, at least Date Night has a date with Quilt Market. And that makes me happy!

Thank you Jessica for giving me a preview of your amazing new fabric! To celebrate, Windham Fabrics is giving away a Cascade Fat Quarter Bundle to one of you!
Just comment below to enter to win! I’ll close comments on Friday, October 24th and choose a winner! The winner is Lorrie! Thank you to everyone for entering!!

You are at the 2 best places at the same time! ;)
I cannot believe you fussy cut that, I mean I can, it’s you, but my brain hurts just thinking of lining those flowers up with an outside pocket. You sewed perfect, as always.

I love fussy cutting. It frustrates me while I’m doing it, but is always worth the effort. This bag looks fabulous!
